A commercial kitchen was constantly getting blockages to their facilities, causing frustration and production delays.
We cleared the blockage using a High Pressure Jet and then using CCTV equipment we found a reo bar to be through the top of the sewer pipe making a catch point for the any paper or waste that would pass by.
The Challenge
The reo bar was through the sewer pipe for the kitchen but the pipe was actually located under a relatively new concrete parking area in a neighbouring factory.
The kitchen could not wait the time to organise with their neighbours to excavate to remove this by excavation as they had some large orders coming in and could not have any delays to this.
The Solution
We excavated a small trench in a garden area over the sewer pipe approx. 8m away from the reo bar intrusion.
Then, we only had to go through a series of small bends to get to the reo bar.
We used our Picote Maxi miller and a special metal grinding head to remove the reo bar and grind it off.
